Saddam's army invaded Kuwait in 1991. This tiny Persian Gulf State which is also one of the richest countries in the world was soon occupied by the Iraqi army. The Baathist army started plundering and looting the country. Today, the foreign ministry of Iran, in a ceremony returned an exquisite historical sword belonging to Kuwait to the Kuwaiti ambassador in Tehran. Majdi Alzafiri, the Kuwaiti ambassador to Iran thanked for the stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Kuwait and said "The relationships between Kuwait and Iran are very vast and deep and it is based on mutual cooperation and harmony between the two nations. He also showed gratefulness for the efforts by the Iranian foreign ministry towards returning of precious historical objects and pieces that were smuggled."
Iran has returned many pieces that were once smuggled by Saddam regime to Kuwait. It is interesting to mention that Kuwait was one of the main sponsors of the Iraqi regime during the 8 years of Iran-Iraq war. But it's a wild world. Kuwaitis remember Saddam troops burning their oil wells and infrastructure before leaving Kuwait. Today Iraq is being plundered by foreign regimes. Due to lack of a stable regime historical places are looted on a regular basis. These priceless artifacts are then sold to foreigners for a couple of dollars. Most Iraqis in who are engaged in these kind of illegitimate businesses have no other choice but stealing their own national wealth for survival. Last August a party of 399 pieces which were discovered by the Iran's law enforcement officers was delivered to Badr Alrafahi the secretary of National Council of Kuwait Culture and Arts to be returned to Kuwait..
Meanwhile, the Iran's armed forces are in a difficult situation. Iran is in the middle of many drug, arms and historical artifacts smuggling routes. The situation in the neighboring Afghanistan has worsened after the invasion of US forces in such a way that reportedly the puppy fields have expanded 20 times more than what they were during Taliban regime. Once those were smugglers with donkey loads of opium traversing the deserts of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan but now it's a highly sophisticated network of organized criminals using the latest technology in weapons and communications. Recently, it has been proven that the occupation forces led by US and Britain have been training mercenaries to plot bombs and create terror inside the boundaries of Iran.
History teaches everything. These are natural consequences of pursuing dangerous adventures. The Arab nations should wake up and understand who their real enemy is. Obviously some of those leaders are too overdosed to respond. But Ramadan is a time to clean up from inside and out. And the last Friday of Ramadan has been announced as "The Qods Day" as a day of solidarity with Palestinians in their fight for their rights against the oppression. A day to remember that Israel is a creation of the British colonization which in turn is the main source of conspiracies , evildoing & unrest in the middle east..
There is a frequently asked question : Why are Iranians so self-sacrificing in defense of the rights of Palestinians although Iranians are not from the Arab race? The answer is : "Quran was sent to us in Arabic so that we think." God's true religion can not be based on racism and Muslims are taught to be brothers in fight against injustice.
