Talesh is a county in Gilan Province in Iran. Talesh people are one of the oldest inhabitants of Caspian Sea who have lived in Talesh area in old Persia and present Iran, probably 3000 years even before the main Aryan migration.Talesh people live in Gilan, Ardebil, and Azerbaijan Republic and speak their own Talesh language.After Nader Shah's death, the Talesh created their own state with their capital in Lankaran.
