Qeshm Island is an ancient beautiful island located South Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. Qeshm has a unique nature with a depreciated land of 400,000 years old. With neighboring Lark, Greater and Lesser Tunbs, Hormoz, Abu Musa and Hengam islands; Qeshm has had great strategic importance since the Kiani Dynasty. Qeshm is south of the city of Bandar Abbas in the Hormozgan Province.
Qeshm is home to Harra trees that absorb the salt in the ocean water and become a source of water for inhabitants of the Island.
In the east and west side of the Qeshm Island, there are range of mountains which has been washed away in time by wind and rain and has created amazing cliffs that is a major attraction specially for a great variety of birds.
