BitDefender to Increase its Market Share in Iran

BitDefender is trying to increase its market- share in Iran. Khalid Muasher, Business Development Manager at Bitdefender, says Iran has high potential in Antivirus industry.
“Iran has a young and high potential market for antiviruses. However infringing copy right of foreign made software is prevalent in Iran and the companies suffer from these activities. We are trying to increase our share to 40% in Iran’s antivirus market.” Khalid Muasher said.
“According to international charts, BitDefender is ranked as one of the most powerful ant viruses in the world. We are ready to cope with malwares and viruses threatening Iranian users. BitDefender was pioneer in detecting and cleaning systems from Flame and Stuxnet viruses.” Khalid Muasher added.
It's noteworthy that Bitdefender Total Security 2013 is priced $15 for Iranians while it is $80 for other clients. Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 is also available for Iranian users for as low as $15 whilst the price of the same version is $70 for international customers.
ESET NOD32, Norton, Avast and Kaspersky are also popular in Iran but Iranians cannot legally buy the licenses of these softwares because they have suspended their sales to Iranians due to sanctions by the United States.
